Apr 20

This date has always been very close to my heart. Not because its Hitler's birthday but because it's my besties birthday. Happy Birthday Surbhi! Thanks for being my side when I grew up. Thanks for being my companion when I use to eat my dabba in school. Thanks for always being the second ranker and being my motivation to move ahead of you :D Although we are thousands of miles away I wish you many many happy returns of the day. Although we dont speak with each other very often but you are the password of my security question on many of my online accounts :) We have shared our childhood together and I wish I can go back in time even if it is for a few minutes. I want to relive those moments with you again and feel them again. We have been catching up at-least once every year when I visit India but this year you broke that commitment as well. You were not present on my BIG day. But, I know you must be having your own commitments because of which you couldn't make it. I am not upset on you but would always like to be with you through the thick and thin.

Today I miss you so much that I decided to write a few lines on my blog. By the way I have just started :) This is my second post :D Its not that I need anything to write today but I miss you so much today that I wanted to write a letter to you. So, I thought might as well write it here and add value/memory to my blog. Someone has said "Its not called done until it is not documented". So thought of capturing my thoughts on my blog.

Wish you a very very happy birthday and love you and miss you loads! May al your dreams come true and may this be your last birthday as a bachelorette.

Cheers to our friendship!

  1. Hey missy!!!
Thanks for the letter / post!!! I loved it!!! I will definitely take a print of this & keep it with me & cherish all my life.... I know in a a time of S/W & having softcopies keeping hard copies sound out dated.... but hard copy is something which adds to the emotions!! I know you will definitely understand this!
I have been reading this again & again as it takes me to our old School days again & again & you wished it but I am actually reliving those golden days by readuing this thro!!!
Btw I'll confess a thing here that I somehow don't have many much school memories but all the memories that I have is that of our friendships days.... eating dabba, talking in between the lectures, being scolded by teachers for doing that & being called talkative, me teasing you with some of our classmates, sharing with you each n every details, attending satsang at your house & dancing on the tune of dama dum mast kalandar, attending parties at your house,......& so much more....
I also remebr how we spent the entire day at your home right after our 10th Board exams (after Music exam) I cam to your place & we had so much fun!!! Gosh!!! Superb time it was...
You rembr how we became friends .... it was all bcoz of our sisters..... we came to know that our sisters (Mamta di & Rashmi) were besties & so from there on we started interacting & see how we grew up together.....
I know we do not connect much but then yes we both know we are always there for each other......
I missing your BIG day but then it was I actually m upset with me being not with you but I know you understand & I feel glad that I was atleast there with you on your very first ritual......
    I hope this bond continues......
Stay connected.....Stay blessed.... Loads of love & luck to both of you miss Dhriti (urf Jaya) & Manoj......
    I love you :) :) :)
